Greg Abbott makes it official: He’s running for governor of Texas
ORIGINAL POST 2:02 pm: Abbott looked out upon a downtown San Antonio plaza full of supporters on Sunday and saw an unbroken field to becoming Texas’ next governor.
On the anniversary of his greatest misfortune, the state attorney general proclaimed his highest ambition, to run for governor.
He promised to represent average Texan, pledging a continuation of a state and a platform full of guns, grit and greatness.
“Just as I’ve been a voice for liberty and the Constitution, I’ll be a voice for you, for children, homeowners and small business owners,” Abbott said.
