Florida woman pleads guilty to nearly $180K midstate theft spree

A Florida woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to using stolen credit cards and IDs to buy about $179,500 worth of electronic merchandise from midstate stores for about eight months between 2014-2015.

Carol Watts, 44, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., conspired with others to use the stolen credit cards and IDs to buy iPads, iPods, MacBooks and other electronic products tfrom stores such as Target and Best Buy throughout Central Pennsylvania, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

Watts and co-conspirators travelled together from Florida to Pennsylvania, breaking into cars to steal credit cards and IDs.

Watts pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge John E. Jones III.

why anyone would leave valuables such as credit cards and ID's in their vehicles, most likely in plain sight. I read my neighborhood watch FB page and the reports of gun after gun taken out of unlocked cars and just shake my head.
