Agents raid Harrisburg home of former mayor Stephen Reed

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Agents with the state attorney general’s office have seized potential evidence from the Midtown home of former mayor Stephen Reed.

The agents closed off the 200 block of Cumberland Street and loaded boxes, several antiques and other items into an unmarked truck and a van Tuesday afternoon.

Reed, according to ABC27 News sources, appeared before a grand jury seated in Pittsburgh two months ago.

Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s office has been looking into Harrisburg’s finances under Reed’s administration and why the city fell into a $300 million debt during repairs and upgrades to the city’s trash incinerator.
