My e-mail to my Rep Glenn "G.T." Thompson, R - CD5

Short and to the point. This is not the first time I have e-mailed him over the years.

Message Subject: Positive vote to end the government shutdown and raise the debt ceiling

Dear Congressman Thompson,

I urge you to do all in your power to convince reasonable men and women in Congress to vote to raise the debt ceiling and end this government shutdown.

I hope that you love America more than you despise our President. I hope that you respect all Americans regardless of economic status, more than you love your faulty ideology. Stop causing harm to our country and its people and do your job.

Thank you.

I told him it was time to forget about the ideologues in the House and work for the people he is supposed to represent.

ETA: I just got a reply that says thanks for your interest, but due to the government shutdown, there will be a delay in his response. What a load of crap.

that our reps don't know how to use their email. That is for the staff to worry about. And apparently they don't have all their staff. Or they are just using this as an excuse.
