High Demand Expected for Doctor Visits Etc. Starting Jan. 1 because of pent up demand

There are many people who have delayed seeking medical treatment because they could not afford it. Many of these people will be able to afford health insurance starting Jan. 1. As a result, there may be an initial strain on the health care system. For people who already have health insurance, it may be in their best interests to get things taken care of before Jan. 1.

If you don't already have a regular doctor, I'd sign up with one now.

And I am guessing many will be people with advanced diseases and conditions who have not been able to see a doctor before, so they will hopefully be seen right away.

when "preventive screenings" were covered last year at no cost, I had months to wait to get into a gastroenterologist because of all the colonoscopies that were suddenly being scheduled.
