Magnitude 5.4 earthquake strikes off Oregon coast

BANDON, Ore. — A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck off the Oregon coast Wednesday morning.

According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the quake was about 140 miles east of Bandon, Oregon. It happened at 8:00 a.m.
The National Weather Service said a tsunami was NOT expected.

There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.

The quake was about eight miles deep.

Looks to be about 80 miles west of the subduction zone. CanonRay Jul 2019 #4

Since Bandon is on the coast, 140 miles east of Bandon would put the quake that far inland not in the ocean so most likely would not cause a tsu8nami.. actully at that point not too far from where I live..

The USGS website shows it being west of the coast.
