Oregon Homeless Bill of Rights

A DU post on the recent passage in Rhode Island of a Homeless Bill of Rights led me to discover that Sisters of the Road is working on a similar effort in Oregon. See the links in my response to the post.

Let's help Sisters of the Road and work to make Oregon the 2nd state to pass this necessary legislation.

Hi all - thank you for supporting economic human rights for all people! It is not only Sisters Of The Road working on the Homeless Bill of Rights Campaign in Oregon. The core coordinating groups of this campaign are Right to Survive/Right 2 Dream Too, Dignity Village, and Street Roots working with many others. We are also working in coalition with the Western Regional Advocacy Project (www.WRAPhome.org), a group of West Coast organizations working from our bases on housing and civil rights for people experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty. Homeless Bills of Rights will be fought for and won simultaneously in Oregon, California and Massachusetts. Please join us or start a campaign in your state!

I am a recent member to Democratic Underground as well, so still finding my way around. However, it is (mostly) a Great Place to be, learn, and share.
