David Cobb an organizer and spokesman for Move To Amend (national) will be the featured speaker this year at the Columbus Community Festival (Comfest). David Cobb was the Green Party Presidential Candidate in 2004, and a candidate for Attorney General in Texas in 2002. Astute and deeply knowledgeable in constitutional law and American History, Cobb is a convincing and illuminating speaker on the effects of the recent Citizens United decision on American public life and government.
Mr. Cobb will address Comfest from the large main (Bozo) stage from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday June 24 in Goodale Park at Goodale and Park Street in the short north. This address will be followed by a workshop at the Solar Stage at 3:00 p.m. and finally it is expected that Mr. Cobb will participate in a symposium starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Solar Stage. The symposium is WE THE PEOPLE: The Constitution and US conducted by Sarah A Cherry, Legal Council, Minority Caucus Ohio House of Representatives with Michael Weber Investigative Journalist and Ed Forman local attorney moderated by Charles Robol.
