(far more than usual) and I was wondering ... was this due to an Amber Alert, or was there some other purpose?
I hadn't been able to listen to the radio today. Mrs. ZBDent said she heard about an Amber Alert, but no "movement" or other "notice" that headlights should be on in honor or memory of X.

(35,392 posts)this was scattered throughout a lot of traffic (and including some guy who got his headlights re-aimed to hit my eyes in my rear-view mirror).
I AM FAMILIAR WITH THE CUSTOM OF THE HEADLIGHTS ON IN A FUNERAL PROCESSION.
And it wasn't raining in the Akron area.

In fact, it seemed to be FAR MORE than any Amber Alert I'd seen in a long time.

(5,417 posts)I drive with my headlights on 24/7. I think it increases visibility and is safer. I think its worth the tradeoff of replacing a bulb a bit more often.
