Email: Public Hearing on Voting Rights - You're invited!
I got this email from Democracy North Carolina last night. Thought I'd pass it along.
For anyone wanting to testify at the hearings, this is a great opportunity.
Dear Supernova,
The The National Commission on Voting Rights will hold a public hearing on election problems and voting issues in North Carolina this Friday in Durham. You should attend if you can! For more info see this flyer.
North Carolina has become ground zero in the national battle over voting rights. This is an important opportunity to learn from experts, community leaders and activists about the state of voting rights in North Carolina and how we compare to other states. The hearing will also include time for comments from the public.
Public Hearing on Voting Rights
Join us Friday, November 8, from 9am - 5pm at the Durham County Commissioner's Chamber (200 E. Main Street, Durham).
If you'd like to attend, please RSVP here. There will be a second hearing on Saturday, November 9, in Williamston, NC. For more info, see this flyer.
