RALEIGH, N.C. North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory's communications director says he's leaving the job after only three months in Raleigh because of family concerns.
Chris Walker said Saturday he'll be moving back to Nashville, Tenn., where his family has remained and has had trouble selling their house. He said his wife is also about to have their second child and won't be able to travel.
Walker said he told McCrory about the situation Friday and said the new governor gave him his blessing to leave. He will stick around for a while as officials search for his successor.
Walker arrived to direct communications for McCrory's transition team in November and took a similar administration post. He's worked for North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr and in Mitt Romney's presidential campaign.
Well, if he worked for the Romney campaign, he's got this communicating thing down pat!
Edit: Mods, at the time I posted this article it was only four paragraphs long.
