Bronx 9-year-old boy falls 26 stories to his death

BRONX, N.Y. (WABC) -- A 9-year-old boy died Wednesday after plummeting 26 stories onto scaffolding outside his high-rise building in the Bronx.

Sidy Fofana's body was found on the top of the scaffold at the River Park Towers apartment complex in the Morris Heights section just after 5 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death and the investigation is ongoing, but at this point, it's not clear exactly what happened.
