Gov. Cuomo's health commissioner stepping down in June: source

State Health Commissioner Nirav Shah will be stepping down at the end of June, sources with knowledge of the decision told the Daily News Wednesday evening.

The news comes hours after Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob Astorino called on Shah to resign over the department's failure to regularly inspect abortion clinics and for the indefinite delay of a hydrofracking report that the commissioner said would be done last year.
