Rally Today At 4 pm Against Cuomo's Incestuous Relationship With Charter School Lobby

A coalition of parent and teacher groups will assemble on the NYPL steps ( 42nd and 5th Ave) and march to Status Cuomo's office on E 40th street.

Andrew's re-elect campaign has pocketed over 800,000 dollars from charter school supporters and the gov is giving them more than their money's worth.

Unfortunately... we just had a mayoral election here and the guy who advocated charter limits and restrictions beat the guy who advocated Cuomo's charter policy, 73% to 23%.

Quidpro Cuomo is also abominable on virtually all other aspects of public ed. Pretty much mimicking the Rahm Emanuel- Arne Duncan, Chicago style and advocating canned, simplistic non-solutions to complicated problems.

And of course... there's $$$$$$ everywhere.

Truth is... the guy doesn't know what he's talking about and lacks any clear, original ideas of his own on the subject , and evidently the ability to formulate any.


So that's TODAY , 4 pm at the library, 42nd street and Fifth Ave..

BTW, public education impacts *everyone*. Not just parents, kids and teachers.

Should be a decent sized crowd... though no one's going to be *paid* to be there, unlike the charter school rent-a-mob M$M love-ins.

If I'm going, there must be a lot of people going because I never go anywhere. See ya there, citizens.
