What Anthony Weiner’s Schedule Reveals About His Strategy

By Jill Colvin

It began outside a subway station in Harlem, where Anthony Weiner greeted–and embraced—New Yorkers on their way to work.

Next, he eschewed the Memorial Day parade in his old district for a sparsely-attended black church service in Southeast Queens and a veterans ceremony in the Bronx’s Co-op City. And this weekend, he slammed stop-and-frisk at Rev. Al Sharpton’s weekly National Action Network rally, earning loud applause from the mostly-black crowd.

Mr. Weiner’s spokeswoman, Barbara Morgan, insisted it’s too soon to talk about strategy nearly three weeks into the ex-congressman’s comeback race. But the campaign’s carefully-curated stops, which typically number fewer than his rivals—might also reveal something about the polling that convinced him to jump into the race in the first place.

Voter research conducted by one rival campaign revealed an interesting finding: that black voters seemed to be more forgiving of Mr. Weiner’s online dalliances than other groups.

3. If he's serious about this thing, he needs to go after Quinns refusal to support and vote for

Paid sick leave. She seems to be very popular, but she does not come accross as very sincere or likeable in the few interviews I've seen. Weiner needs to work on his likeability as well

4. She is not all that popular. People just think she is going to win in the end.

I agree people don't like her all that much here. It will be interesting to see who gets in the runoff with her.

5. I am supporting Quinn. And NYers are supporting her over Weiner, with all the others far back

I am happy Weiner is in the race
either way either is good for NYC and good for the 2016 Presidential race as either will work with Hillary.

don't think any other repub. is close.
William Bratton has been making rumors about wanting to come back as police commish.(he was Rudy's and considered worse than Kelly), but that can only happen if Kelly runs for office.

Otherwise, think whomever the dem. is will win big time.

I think he will at least get 45% of the vote but not much more.
