Firm to explore potential financial impact of Tyre casino

SENECA FALLS — A Rochester accounting firm will explore the financial impact of a possible casino in the Seneca County town of Tyre.

The Seneca County Industrial Development Agency voted 9-0 Thursday to have the Bonadio Group undertake a comprehensive financial analysis of Wilmorite Corp.’s $350 million project.

On the advice of the Bond, Schoeneck & King Law Firm of Syracuse, its special legal counsel on casino issues, the Tyre Town Board requested the study be done. Wilmorite, which has proposed building the resort on an 83-acre parcel of land east of Route 414, just north of the Thruway, will pay for the report.
