Casino siting board’s consultant announced

A Chicago law firm with gambling law specialists who have worked for casino companies and gaming regulators has been selected by the New York Gaming Facility Location Board as consultants.
The board, a unit of the New York Gaming Commission, hired Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP to provide gaming advisory services in its review and ultimate selection of casino applicants for Upstate New York.
The firm will help with the reviews and evaluations of the applications expected from casino license applicants under the Upstate New York Gaming and Economic Development Act.
Taft, Stettinius & Hollister LLP was selected over four other timely proposals received after requests for proposals went out last November.
