De Blasio Rallies for Universal Pre-K With Sharpton in Harlem

Mayor Bill de Blasio and first lady Chirlane McCray will be joining Rev. Al Sharpton today at his National Action Network in Harlem to rally for universal pre-K.

Both the mayor and first lady will try to highlight the importance of the mayor's plan to add full day universal pre-K as well as after school programs.

Earlier this week the mayor was in Albany attending a rally to show support for his initiative.

The mayor also met with Gov. Andrew Cuomo trying to gain approval for his proposed tax hike to pay for the programs.
