De Blasio Attends "Get Out The Vote" Rallies Ahead Of Tuesday's Election

On the last weekend of campaigning before Election Day, Bill de Blasio is trying to prove to New Yorkers that he is not complacent about the election, given his lead in the polls, and he is trying to make sure his supporters feel the same way. NY1's Grace Rauh filed the following report.

Bill de Blasio is teaming up with the rest of the Democratic ticket to try and get voters to the polls on Election Day.

"I'm very proud of what is about to happen on Tuesday," said Scott Stringer, the Democratic candidate for city comptroller. "Think about what we're about to do. We're about to elect the most progressive mayor this country has ever seen."

At a rally on the Upper West Side Saturday, the Democratic nominee for mayor tried to energize his base. He also promoted some of the central proposals of his campaign.

6. It all depends on turnout. But with the exception of one person I know, no one is voting for lhotta.

one De Blasio doing that well and two, you have republican friends...as soon as I find out someone's a republican, they are emotionally dead to me!

9. Well I have relations that are republicans so I have to be nice. But a lot of the republicans I know

are moderate types.

relatives voted for Reagan, we cut off all contact with them. They have never seen their grand children and now their great children.

I never met a republican worth voting for.

I read that somewhere..course would not be the first time I was wrong

10. He already did. I think he is going to VA. Besides the Marathon is tomorrow and we can't

have the Marathon and the president here on the same day. Too much of a headache.
