Schulz v Silver contract

I had a story earlier about the lawsuit that activist Bob Schulz is pursuing against Assembly Democratic Majority Speaker Sheldon Silver over the $103,000 secret payment he authorized to alleged sex harassment victims of Vito Lopez.

Silver later said that was a mistake but now Schulz believes Silver should be personally responsible for the payment, rather than taxpayers.

One of the side issue is the cost to the public for the suit. Here’s the Comptroller’s letter outlining what they’ll approve for Silver’s defense.
