Lhota raises $164K, with help from Kochs and a Bloomberg

Joe Lhota raised just over $164,000 in the latest three-week filing period, according to his most recent filing with the city's Campaign Finance Board.

Lhota received contributions from a couple of notable names, including David Koch, the prominent Republican industrialist, and his wife, Julia, who each gave the maximum $4,950.

Emma Bloomberg, the eldest daughter of Mayor Michael Bloomberg, gave $750. Anna Murdoch-Mann, the ex-wife of Rupert Murdoch, gave $500.

After a flurry of fund-raising to start the race, which helped establish him as a credible candidate in the Republican field, Lhota's numbers have lagged over the summer. In the previous filing period, covering most of July, he raised just over $86,000.
