Performer Injured During "Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark" Show

By: NY1 News

A performer in the Broadway show "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" was injured during Thursday evening's show, a spokesperson for the show said.

According to a spokesperson with the show, the performance was halted immediately after the injury occurred and the performer was transported to a local hospital for medical attention.

The show did not specify what injury the performer sustained, but fire officials say a victim was transported with serious leg trauma to Bellevue Hospital from the theater's location on West 43rd Street.

A witness told NY1 that the actor's foot or leg got caught in a retracting door.
