Man Gets 30 Years In Plot To Blow Up Federal Reserve Building

A Bangladeshi man who pled guilty in a plot to blow up the Federal Reserve bank was sentenced Friday to 30 years in jail and a lifetime of probation in Brooklyn federal court.
Quazi Nafis, 22, was arrested last October after he parked what he believed to be a van filled with explosives outside the building in Lower Manhattan.
The fake explosives were supplied by an undercover FBI agent.
Prosecutors say Nafis used a cellphone he falsely thought had been rigged as a detonator.
