Longtime Empire State Building Shoe Repair Shop Loses Lease

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — After 94 years in business, a shoe repair shop in the Empire State Building is getting the boot and closing its doors for good after losing its lease.

Louis Shoe Rebuilders was established in 1921 and moved into the Empire State Building when the skyscraper opened its doors in 1931.

yikes. We have a Chinese couple in one of are now failing malls they been there for years. I had a new pair of heels put on it was $60.00 they could probably make more business for themselves by getting out of the expensive rental to a more inexpensive stand along building.
