Mayor Visits Families of Slain Officers as NYPD Stays on High Alert

NY1

Mayor Bill de Blasio and Governor Andrew Cuomo visited the homes of two NYPD officers who were gunned down while sitting in their patrol car over the weekend.

The mayor met with officer Rafael Ramos' family at their home in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn.

Governor Andrew Cuomo visited their home on Sunday.

While the governor says the city must face the loss head on, he says it's important for everyone to take a break during the upcoming holiday week.
