retrofitted with protective bubbles of some sort.

The bubbles would protect the police from harm and prevent them from killing unarmed citizens.

I am so sick of all this shit.

Don't call out the police.

Don't hurt their feelings.

It is a tough job.

Blah, blah, blah.

This mandatory respect for the police is nauseating.

Respect is earned.

It should never be mandated because of the uniform a person wears or the title they hold.

The police have made it abundantly clear they are not interested in policing their own.

They protect the guilty at all cost, if the guilty happens to be wearing the uniform.

all you have to do is look at an armoured car or even the POTUS's beast. The would require replacing the doors and hinges to carry the weight. Knee jerk reaction, besides NYPD has too many varieties of automobiles in use.

have full body bullet proof uniforms ???

A bullet proof car is pretty useless, unless you plan on never exiting it.

Do you have any stats on how many police are shot in their vehicles ?

I don't think it is a rampant problem.

I will have to do some research.

Thanks for your comments.

Interesting.

Knee jerk is quite the understatement.
