Wesley Clark: Dont Wait for the Next War
Sedona AZ (September 26, 2014) New Yorks famous 92nd Street Y returns to Sedona on Wednesday, Oct. 8 when the Sedona International Film Festival hosts Dont Wait for the Next War featuring retired four-star general Wesley K. Clark. The event will take place at 5:15 p.m. at the festivals Mary D. Fisher Theatre, live as it is happening in New York.
Can America have a real national strategy and move forward without the focus of war? As we emerge from a decade of expensive overseas wars, retired four-star general Wesley K. Clark identifies a new unifying national strategy to make the US independent of the Middle East, freeing the country to fully focus on the resurgence of China.

(103 posts)I got a digital copy of the book from Amazon 2 days ago. I am only a couple of pages away from finishing the book. I must say that on balance the book will be viewed pretty well by a non-partisan person. Gen.Clark is that rare "strategic thinker" that delves in the realities of the current situations we have boxed ourselves collectively in. America and the world in Gen.Clark's views are at pivotal moment and are at a crossroad.
The current order that was shaped and established by post WWII U.S. is on the brink of collapsing, as the ascendancy of China flexes it's muscle for influence and for a new global order. The re-assertion of Russia to become again the global shaper and mover not only on it's "near abroad" but in Europe and much of the world.
The power and influence of the United States does not come from it's military might but rather from it's economic dominance. The economic dominance that has waned significantly and therefore has begun to undercut it's global pre-eminence and influence to shape and lead the world well beyond this decade. It is worth a read, and it will, I hope spark a healthy dose of debate - here and across the country - for the proper role, leadership and place of the United States Of America beyond the 21st century.

(103 posts)Especially at the premiere of the American Generals; it looks like Gen.Clark and Mrs. Gertrude Clark are back as a loving couple. Even the book is dedicated to his wife, his son Wes Jr. and his grandson.

(103 posts)Premiere for National Geo documentary, there you will see the picture of Gen.Clark and his wife pretty much sitting together and posing on the camera as a wedded couple.
