De Blasio backs Obama on ISIS strikes

Sally Goldenberg
On the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, Mayor Bill de Blasio defended President Obama's plans for dealing with terror threats from the militant group Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, and cautioned against deploying American ground troops.

"The president's basic formula I agree with, which is no boots on the ground and using the airstrikes in a strategic manner," de Blasio told reporters following the annual commemoration at the memorial site, where he was asked his reaction to Obama's speech on Wednesday evening.
