Gov. Andrew Cuomo brushed aside a question in a Sunday morning television interview as to whether his trip to Israel suggested he was opening the door to a run for president in 2016.
Phoning in to Fox News, host Maria Bartiromo noted the two-day trip to Israel last week was very presidential of you.
I thought it was more gubernatorial of me than presidential, Cuomo joked in response.
He added that the trip was meant to highlight New York states support for Israel.

During his trip to Israel last week, Gov. Cuomo learned that his three-term governor father Mario remains fondly remembered in the Jewish state.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opened his remarks during a joint appearance with Andrew Cuomo last week by sending his warmest regards" to the elder Cuomo. Netanyahu was the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations in the 1980s when Mario Cuomo was governor.

It was as if Gov. Andrew Cuomo had never left New York.
Cuomo spent his three-day trip to Israel conferring with high-ranking officials, touring tunnels that Hamas has used to infiltrate the Jewish state, and meeting with expatriate New Yorkers and Israelis trying to make their way through the recent crisis. But for a brief period on Wednesday breakfast time back home New York's delegation to the Middle East noshed on a New York classic: pizza, with the pies coming from the aptly named Big Apple Pizza.
But for a governor who has tried to keep the focus on New York during his tenure and has rarely left the state, the rest of the trip his fourth to Israel, but his first as governor was a break from the norm.
