Gun Buyback Program Accepting Firearms In Fordham Heights

Ny1News

Police in the Bronx are looking to get weapons off the street this weekend with the latest gun buyback program.

Authorities are offering a $200 bank card for handguns and assault rifles, with no questions asked.

You can also get a $20 bank card for turning in any rifle or shotgun.

The buyback is being held at Fordham Evangelical Lutheran Church on Walton Avenue in Fordham Heights until 4 p.m. Saturday.

handguns and "assault rifles." (I put the term in quotes as an assault rifle is capable of select or fully automatic fire.) Wow a $20 bank card for a shotgun or rifle. How generous.

That's probably why gun buybacks usually end up collecting a lot of junk.
