Would-Be Robbers In Queens Try To Steal ATM With Backhoe

Police in Queens are looking for the men who tried to make a bank withdrawal using a backhoe instead of an ATM card.
The attempted heist occurred early Friday at around 3 a.m.
Investigators say a pair of would-be thieves drove a backhoe into the parking lot of a 48th Street Chase Bank branch in Maspeth, and used it to yank an ATM off a wall.
They say the vehicle was stolen from a nearby construction site.
