Former Assemblywoman Gabriela Rosa refuses offer from U.S. attorney to wear wire, sources say

ALBANY — U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara made disgraced former Assemblywoman Gabriela Rosa an offer she could refuse, sources said.

Bharara wanted Rosa, whom he prosecuted for entering into a sham marriage to gain citizenship, to wear a wire in exchange for leniency, according to sources close to the former legislator.

But unlike other trapped lawmakers, the Dominican-born Rosa said no way, the sources said.
