Teachout to appear before Cuomo on primary ballot

Zephyr Teachout got the luck of the draw: She’ll appear—if she stays on the ballot—ahead of Gov. Andrew Cuomo on the Sept. 9 Democratic primary ballot.

The state Board of Elections last week did a random draw to determine the order of appearance on the primary races.

Teachout, the Fordham University Law professor, is fighting the Cuomo campaign’s attempt to knock her off the ballot, claiming she hasn’t lived in New York for the state-required five years.
