NYCHA Sleepover An Eye Opening Experience, Mayoral Candidates Say

The Democratic mayoral candidates got a first-hand look at living conditions inside the New York City Housing Authority system Saturday night during a special sleepover event.
Christine Quinn, Anthony Weiner, Bill Thompson, Bill de Blasio and John Liu stayed at the Lincoln Houses in East Harlem.
They stayed with a host family, and took a tour of the complex to get a first-hand look at issues affecting lives of public housing residents, including mold on the ceiling and holes in the walls.
"And one of the worst parts of all this is there is no real sense at all of when this is going to get fixed for them," Quinn said.
