Two Indicted In Mob Bust Had Teamster Ties, DA Says

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. announced Tuesday the arrests and indictment of nine members of the Bonanno crime family.

Included in the arrests are two members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 917.

The union members are accused of using their positions to solicit other members as clients for their criminal enterprises.

All are charged with corruption and a slew of other crimes, including gambling, loan sharking, drug dealing, extortion and gun possession.
