NYC special ed provider pleads guilty to paying no-show kin with public money

The head of a city special education provider on Friday pleaded guilty to grand larceny charges of using public money to pay his kin and agreed to pay $418,000 in restitution, state Controller Thomas DiNapoli said.

Morton Kramer, executive director of IncludED Educational Services, is also banned for life from providing special education services for the state as part of the plea agreement.

The case stemmed from a 2012 probe by DiNapoli's staff that found Kramer bankrolled six relations, including his sons, for doing no-show jobs over a three-year stretch.
