ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) Stretches of the New York State Canal system remain closed by high water from heavy rains that fell across the region last week.
The state Canal Corp. says Monday that the Erie Canal is closed from Lock E-7 in Niskayuna in Schenectady County to Lock E-30 in Macedon in Wayne County, and from Lock E-32 at Pittsford to the Genesee River.

(26,877 posts)The flooding was catastrophic. A whole floating marina in Albany was wrenched from its mooring and floated south. I had my boat on Sacandaga Lake that season and the flooding was bad there too.
