(N.M.) Major mix-up with absentee ballot request forms

Grant County clerk Marisa Castrillo confirms 14,649 absentee ballot request forms went out with the wrong first names on them. Castrillo blamed it on an error with the vendor, American Election Services, who sent them out.

"This is an unfortunate mistake but it was a mistake that was caught early and it doesn't have any bearing on the overall integrity of the election," said Secretary of State Spokesman Alex Curtas.

He maintains a person will only be able to vote once. Curtas says the vendor is mailing out new absentee ballot request forms Monday and isn't charging the county because it was their mistake.

Many voters in Grant County still voiced their concern. Jose Ray says six members of his family received the incorrect ballot request forms. He says he's not voting by mail.
