Albuquerque leaders and residents want crime-ridden motel out of neighborhood

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
An anonymous neighbor who lives near the Sahara Motel on Gibson and San Pedro wants others who live nearby to testify in a court hearing on July 30, 2018.

The hearing was supposed to take place on Monday, June 25, 2018 but it was postponed. It comes after Mayor Tim Keller and City Councilor Pat Davis asked a judge to declare the motel a public nuisance.

The city says police were called to the hotel more than 400 times over a two-year period.

Gibson Blvd sort of runs parallel to Central, but south of Central a mile or so.

I've been in that City bunches of times but I couldn't remember exactly where Gibson was in relation to Route 66
