A group of us folkies drove down from Iowa City to take part in the Arrow Rock Folk Festival, summer of '62. It was staged in a very old lyceum-type public hall that was being sometimes used as a church.
Old folkies reading this may recognize the names of our group from Iowa like Keith Dempster, who owned The Mill folk club in Iowa City for forty years, banjoist Pete Everwine, Tom Parker and his actress wife Laura, autoharpist Fran Sears, balladeer Paul Kelso, Bob Bundy, who later played with top bluegrass bands, and Al Murphy, who is still performing in the Iowa City area. Local groups also, of course, including some gospel. Great days,,,,,
