Lead Consultant To Airport Privatization Group Responds To Criticism Of Lambert Documentary

Travis Brown is at the center of a controversy over the release Thursday of a three-part documentary about the history of St. Louis Lambert International Airport.

Brown is the executive producer of “Hard Landing At Lambert,” and he owns the media advocacy company — First Rule — that produced and paid for it. He’s also the lead consultant to the city’s Airport Advisory Working Group, which is considering privatizing Lambert.

During a regular meeting Thursday, members of that group grilled Brown over his dual positions.

Head of the working group Paul Payne reiterated concerns he brought up last week, after first learning about the documentary.

To the filthy rich for pennies on the dollars. Our tax dollars paid for it but they are never going to get the cost back of what the state paid for it. It is just too expensive for anyone but a governmental organization.

Now, the only people who can get that property at bargain basement prices are the filthy rich. You and I don't have a chance in hell of being able to get in on this great profit making bargain.

Privitization is always more expensive. Privitization will require the group that buys it to make a profit. You don't need to make a profit if you are a governmental organization. Privitazation will require the group that buys it to pay huge salaries to top executives and CEOs. You don't need those overpaid managers in a governmental organization because managers are already built into the government organization.

So, they are selling the airport off so some filthy rich con can make huge profits but they are upset because someone said that in a documentary, something most smart people already know.

It's all a scam rigged against we the people.
