Clinton schools evacuated due to natural gas odor
Clinton Junior High and the Clinton High Career Complex were evacuated Wednesday morning due to a strong odor of natural gas.
Atmos Energy was notified to assess the situation. The schools are located on Lakeview Drive in Clinton. Students were allowed to return to classes after about 45 minutes, WAPT reported.
Clinton Junior High enrolls approximately 800 students in grades 7-8 and the Clinton High Career Complex enrolls about 300 students in grades 10-12.
