Rep. Nick Zerwas R-30A (Elk River) thinks Dayton's comments helped caused the Dallas violence

No mention that demonstrations in Minnesota have remained peaceful. https://www.facebook.com/nick.zerwas.3

Statement from Rep. Nick Zerwas Regarding Governor Mark Dayton's Uninformed and Inappropriate statements

Governor Dayton needs to start bringing people together.

Governor Dayton obviously had no way of knowing what was going to happen in Texas when he made his comments about the Minnesota shooting. However, by voicing his immediate judgement about the racial motivations of the St Anthony police officer, he just made things worse. The Governor’s comments inflamed an already explosive national situation that boiled over last night in Dallas, Texas with the assassination of five police officers.

We need our governor to bring people together in hard times. He represents all Minnesotans, and as a Governor, what he says is often instantly repeated in news stories around the world. That message needs to be one of peace, prayer, and patience.

I Googled this guy and he sounds like an exceptional jerk. In addition to a 2014 DWI some of his other accomplishments include introducing a bill to the state legislature that would have made "...protesters civilly liable for law enforcement costs if they refuse to disperse when ordered to do so and end up being arrested and convicted of a crime". This was after the Black Lives Protest at MOA - though the Rep claims his bill was not directed at any particular group. He gets an 86% rating from the NRA.

QED. There's something in the water in that district - maybe it's from the Elk River nuke plant.
