Police look for pair who discharged gun at Fridley Target store

Fridley police are searching for a man and woman after a shot was fired as the pair checked out at Target Sunday evening.

According to police, a man and woman entered the Target at 755 53rd Av. and were paying for snacks and a soda around 5:20 p.m. The pair chatted with the clerk, sharing that they were on a 12-15 hour road trip.

The man made an adjustment to his left ankle area. While he was making that adjustment a shot was fired from his left ankle area. The shot struck the floor.

The suspects ran out of the store and fled in a red or maroon two-door vehicle. The male appeared to be limping as they left the store, but officers found no blood at the scene. No bystanders were injured.
