LOL, "shit" in a family newspaper

(not a real spoiler if you have yet to read today's chapter of the serialized story).

The heroine is a real person, and when someone says something that she realizes the meaning, she reacts: "Shit."

The strib will have some explaining and apologizing, I suppose.

It is a serialized story which is available online, but right now, the most recent chapter is from yesterday's issue.

Will be interesting if they will sanitize it once they put it online.

Will report tomorrow.

by Mary Logue and is available as an e-book

It is a charming story of a young woman, married to an older painter and who, at their cabin in North Minnesota all of a sudden finds him dead in his studio.

She is trying to cope, but on few times saw his ghost at the cabin. The story is attractive because it refers to the Twin Cities and to cabins in the north that many readers can relate. She describes how they met, their interactions with other friends and family member and I found it interesting, to follow her steps as winter descends, as she stays in the cabin a lot longer then what they used to.

One morning she found a kitten and adapts her. And now, on Thanksgiving, she cannot find her. I'd hate to think that the kitty is the message from the dead husband to keep her company and will disappear once the heroine accepts his death.

Many years ago, Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn made a movie called "To Dance with the White Dog," where the Tandy character died and the grieving husband - Cronyn - was having hard time adjusting. And then a white dog appeared and he was "dancing" with the dog. The day before he dies, the dog, the ghost, if you will, of Tandy, disappeared. Was really touching.

(Had to edit twice to get the details of the Dog story).

e-book. Your OP was so vague that I thought it might be an interesting NEWS story to read. I'm sure the book is interesting.
