QUINCY - After putting grass seed down this past spring, Tony DiPalmo started seeing rats in his yard on Ardell Street in North Quincy. It didn’t take long for the pesky rodents to multiply.

“I went all-out with traps, cages, sticky pads, and I caught 27 of them in a three-week period – mostly juveniles,” DiPalmo said. “It’s disgusting. I’ve lived in Quincy my whole life, and I’ve never seen a rat until two summers ago.”
