I got 2 last year and one, a 'baby, 'own root' rose, imported from Oregon, which seemed to do well before the winter, I'm not sure about now. I heard of an especially good place for roses somewhere in MD, maybe eastern shore???, and may want to check it out now.
Thanks

(19,459 posts)It is actually quite close to one of my daughters. Perhaps we'll pop in there in the next couple weeks.

Better yet, you could also try Frank's which is off of 108/175 in Columbia. Frank's is a great farmer's market and has a lot of plants.

Actually, I would recommend Frank's as we have bought roses there, in addition to a lot of other plants. 6686 Old Waterloo Road, Elkridge, MD
