3. Yes it's cold BUT the article says:

'parts of the Chesapeake Bay are starting to freeze over.' That is NBD, imo.

If/when the whole Bay, or major parts of it freeze THROUGH would be a BIG DEAL!

To Tangier Island in Virginia. I bet you didn’t think the state of Maryland actually owned an icebreaker, but apparently the bay freezes often enough that it needs one. Both Smith Island and Tangier Island are not connected to the mainland so they get frozen in sometimes.

Can't say I'm surprised, tho never thought about it specifically. I live a few miles from the Bay, on the Patuxent River which FROZE last week; has defrosted now.
