I’m a lifelong organizer, community leader, and mom who has called Prince George’s County home for 35 years.
I've fought for our community and our values as a non-profit leader and member of Congress, but now I want to take that work to the next level as County Executive.
There is so much we can do together in our local communities to ensure government is transparent and accountable, our economy is growing in a way that benefits everyone, and our schools are getting the funding they need.

When I talk to people, all they want is the system to work the way they were promised.
You go to work, send your children to school, and want to know your family has the same chance of success -- without regard to where you live or how big your bank account is.
Schools should be funded equally no matter where you live. Every student deserves the chance to go to an amazing school with great teachers in every classroom.
Small businesses should have a foot in the door and not feel the game is rigged against them when the same handful of companies who get all of the contracts.
Healthcare should be accessible, through community health clinics and state of the art hospital facilities we all have access to.
Finally, our government should be transparent and accountable to the taxpayers who fund it. That’s why we’re starting this campaign with a promise: we will not accept any money from developers in this race.
I ran for the United States Senate because I believe we needed to build a fair system for everyone and to ensure all families had a voice at the table. Now, I’m taking this fight to my local community to build change there. Will you stand with me?
