Ashley Judd May Need To Decide Soon On Senate Race

Another story about Ashley Judd. She's certainly getting a lot of press!

Jeff Hoover is saying all the attention on her is distracting and this is the reason for the legislature's complete failure to address pension reform (or much of anything else) this session.

The legislature can't blame a potential candidate in an election nearly two years away for their failure to get things done. Campaign seasons are already too long, Ashley Judd should not announce anything for at least six months, that would still give her well over a year to campaign.

But it seems like it would make sense to have an organized campaign to counter the republicans who have wasted no time in getting started. And if she eventually decides not to run, I think a later start will be more detrimental to a less well known challenger who doesn't have her name recognition and fundraising power.

I can see what you're saying though - the campaigns are annoyingly long.

However things unfold, it would just be really awesome if we could get rid of McConnell.
